Fair usage policy

For customers of Wi-Fi businesses on Tuvorlink. Each Wi-Fi's own page also lists its fair usage amounts and its own rules.

This Wi-Fi is shared by everyone at the Wi-Fi business. To keep it fast and safe for all, by buying access you agree to these rules. Tuvorlink runs the payments and the login for the Wi-Fi business.

1. Your purchase

  • A package is for the number of devices it shows. Don't share or resell your access or your code, or turn your device into a hotspot for other people.
  • Time, data and validity are as shown on the package. Online time counts while you're connected; validity counts from when you first use it.

2. Fair usage on packages

  • Some packages show a fair usage amount, for example "1 Mbps after 10 GB". After that much data the speed is reduced until the package ends, so heavy downloads don't slow down everyone else. You are never cut off early because of it.

3. Not allowed

  • Anything illegal under the laws of Ghana, including fraud, scams, and hacking or attacking other devices or networks.
  • Downloading or sharing films, music, software or other material you don't have the right to.
  • Sending spam, or harassing, threatening or exploiting anyone.
  • Interfering with the network or other users: scanning or flooding the network, or changing your device's address to get access you didn't pay for.

4. If these rules are broken

The Wi-Fi business may slow down, suspend or disconnect the device, without a refund, and report illegal activity to the authorities.

5. Payments and refunds

  • You pay with Mobile Money. Access starts once the payment is confirmed.
  • Paid but couldn't connect? Use Already paid? on the Wi-Fi page with the number you paid with, or contact the Wi-Fi business with your payment reference.
  • Access that has been used isn't refundable.

6. Your information

To give you access we keep the Mobile Money number you paid with, your device's network address and how much time and data you use. They're used to connect you, to help if something goes wrong and to keep the network safe. They're not sold.
